It only does it when cold, once warm shifting is fine again, no work done on Jeep lately, only item I can think of was a trail we did around 3 weeks back, it was a moderate trail but didnt hit her on anything and didnt do any water work? Mike

Cool But how do you suggest I do this, as the problem only occures when hot and turning from stationary. I dont really want to be under the car when its moving? Mike

Its not scientific. But with the radio off and no noise doing slow sharp turns from stationary it seems to be the rear of the vehicle. I recently serviced her and all the fluid levels are OK with the correct oils. Mike

Its your slip yoke on the rear drive shaft, take off the cover and re-grease with a industrial motor grease. It sticks together under hard braking. Give it a try
