I think I need a new radiatort for my 6 cyl 95 GCL .. If anyone has a spare they can let me have cheap please message me. If you cant tell by my user name I'm in Fort Wayne Indiana.
I've been having the same problem with my 95 GCL. It vibrates and shakes the car like its about to stall. I Changed the fuel filter and that didnt fix it. I changed the Idle Control Valve and that didnt fix it. I poured a bunch of injector cleaner in it and that helped a little but after that...
Well the injector cleaner didnt seem to make any difference it still idles really rough. It almost seems like at idle the trans is trying to over-ride the brake (if that makes sense) If I get some time to myself and without snow I'll pull the throttle body off and clean it really good.
Nope the check engine light works but does not come on when the rough idle thing happens. I will try cleaning the idle control valve and throttle body assy. cant hurt to try. I dumped a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank today also.
Maybe I should be more clear on what I mean by "shudder". The idle is very rough almost like its going to stall (which it did do twice). But the rough idle is so bad it shakes the car. It happens at random times, though more often than not. If i click it to nuetral or park it idles smooth and...
I'm a little clueless about that stuff. How would I find out if
(a) I have and electronically actuated Torque Converter.
(b) if it is actually stuck
(c) how do I "unstuck" it
Thanks for the help I need all I can get
Thanks for that. I changed the fuel filter today because I was told it may be that but it hasnt helped. My missus is getting ****ed at the car coz shes thinking its a lemon. I just feel it cant be anything major thats wrong with the car. I would be interested in knowing about the idle "re-learn"...
I dont know about that.. It has only been my jeep for a couple of weeks and its too cold for a/c. But I will try it and get back to you. I'm pretty sure I've had the heater on everytime,,, would that matter?
Can Someone help me figure out this problem?. My 95 GCL shudders when I am waiting with my foot on the brake and in drive with the motor idling. I was told it was the idle control valve which I replaced and it has made no difference. It kinda feels like the transmission is still trying to push...
I would leave it "old skool" but we can only disarm the alarm from the passenger door. I'm thinking with the keyfob we would eliminate that extra trip around the car everytime. Plus my missus is disabled and when she goes out by herself it just adds more walking that she doesnt need. I did try...
Thanks but I already went to a jeep dealership. They want $40 for the seatbelt extentender and $180 for the keyless remote + $45 to program it to my vehicle. I dont have that kind of money right now. Thats why I asked on here, I hoped soemone might havea hint about aftermarket stuff or even...
