you could try gently tapping on the back of alternator to see if the voltage comes back,if it does it is probably the brushes,very easy to change on these alternators,they are under a tin plate on back there is no need to split the main case

Dont even unbolt the control arm just get a BFH and straighten it they bend pretty easy.have straightened both sides of mine like that.should look into stronger brackets if you bent it once it will bend again

pre 1975 f 100 have thicker front axle tubes,the ones that have drum brakes on front also have one piece tubes and welded radius arm mounts that are easily removed

i use rotella t conventional oil 15w40,seemed to get rid of persistent tick when running other oils,if your engine is dirty inside you might not want to run a diesel oil as they have a lot of detergent in them,could cause particles to loosen up and plug small oil passages

might be easier to sell the rims to someone else and dont worry about trying to sell an old winch

i prefer the cherry bombs pretty durable from minor hits on obstacles off road and relatively cheap in case it wasnt a minor hit and needs to be replaced

the astro van box is usually used if the front axle is shifted forward too much for a steering box with a rearward facing arm to work,all these boxes are a saiginaw design (i think)

depends on your planned usage,i am running a 2.5 inch susp lift and 2 inch body lift 35x13.50x15 tires on 15x8 rims and 3.25 backspace tires rub on frame and lower control arms off road, can somtimes catch the front sway bar as well can run 38s on the pavement as long as i dont turn full lock on...

as the old saying goes you get what you pay for,buy the kit you can afford.the more money spent on the lift usually gets you extra parts not included with cheaper lifts,ie dropped steering arms,extended sway bar links,etc.the long arm kits will give more wheel travel and usually better handling...
