That looks a lot like my jeep this spring when I got it stuck. Had to have another jeep with a winch get me out. We had to chain his jeep to a tree to keep him from sliding as he winched me out. It took about an hour to finally get out.
I have that same lift on my 04 rubicon. But I also have a 1 in body lift so the problem is even worse. The shifter is very low. I have been looking for an after market shifted to fix the issue with no luck. For now I have just removed the boot around the shifter and it doesn't hit.
Had that same issue on my 04 wrangler. Squealing then it locked up. Only real damage was the throwout bearing snapped the transmission from bearing cover. The piece the tb actually rides up and down on. Had a hard time finding a place that varied the cover. Once I found it, it was smooth sailing...
I just helped my friend change his clutch in his 94 yj with a 2.5 and ax5. I opened up the master cylinder and it was empty. So I filled it up but I can't figure out how to bleed the slave cylinder. My haynes is no help. It says use the bleeder valve, but I can't find one. Can anyone explain...
Ok seems my rear main is leaking oil. I have an 04 TJ 4.0. Do i have to pull the enhine to replace the seal or can I just drop the pan and get to it? I am about to pull my transmission for a rebuild and want to just get it all fixed while its down.
I have a 04 rubicon with stock axles. I am looking to rewire and add another switch so I can activate the air lockers in 4wheel high. Has anyone done this? Does anyone have the wiring diagram of the current switch set up? Thanks.
When I installed my body lift it came with a square plate with holes in it. I didn't know what it was for until I found I couldn't shift into 4 low. Found it was a drop plate for the tcase shifter. Put it on and now no issues.
