What do I need as far as wiring harness and can I use my driveahaft

Thanks for everything so someone told me that I could get a 5.2/5.7 and the bellhousing too and a ax15 transmission and t-case from a 4.0 wrangler and all I would have to do is make mounts and the wiring does anyone know if this is true

I don't know of anywhere around here I remember when I was in school I used to take my Toyota down in the rankin lake bottoms that was fun

Took it to the parts store today they said it was bad

Well I took it to the jeep dealer today and he said it was nothing bad it sounded like a bad lifter peck to him

Today I went to town and on the way back my yj stoped charging so when I got home I checked the alternator with a multimeter and when I did the engine idled down and then back to normal then started to charge can anyone tell me what happened

How can I tell if its a lifter or something worse

Its not an exhaust leak. it has a rhythm and goes away when rpm get higher I hope its nothing to bad I was hoping it was a lifter

I have a knocking sound coming from the engine someone said it might be the lifters but im not a mechanic anyone else have this problem
