I am almost done with mine, and will post photos and such then. i got the tubes from www.jeeptubes.com and they were realy easy to fabricate with a small welder and angle grinder.
My bad, I should have mentioed that the tensioner goes on the other side of the roll bar. I originaly bought one at Home Depot and when I got to the fence store he showed me a HEAVY DUTY one and it did not compare. Go with the heavy duty if you can get it.
Whoops. I think I posted this in another hi jack post, but here is what I had a local chain link fence company make for me, as the above mentioned bracket for the base just got me a bunch of confused looks. The guy at the shop welded a heavy duty bolt to a heavy duty bracket. he suggested using...
I saw this post a while ago and have spent weeks trying to find the bracket for the base of the hi jack so I could mount it to my roll bar. I am not sure what the actual application is for that piece, but all I got was a lot of head scratching. I stopped in to the local chain link installer and...
I did some "googling" and found it to be 50-50. anyone here use the air hog? I was able to get an Airhog for $8 vs the $45 for a K&N, so that almost made it a no brainer.
Thoughts?
Mine was definately leaking from the from end of the jeep, mostly around the transmissionoil cooler. the connections that require a special tool look a little suspect to me, and that is where most my leaking was.
well said. I spoke witha couple of reputible mechanics. The conclusion was that the jeep did not have huge pressure in the transmission, so I am hoping it holds up until next change of transmission fluid. I wil lreplace witha heavy duty or braided then. But for now she is doin fine!!
I could not figure out how to post this in how to, but I take so much from this forum and wanted to give back a little.
I searched on how to fix my leaky lines in my 95 yj 2.4 with automatic transmission and transmission oil cooler and did not find a whole lot of info, so I thought I could help...
The concept looks pretty simple. But I cannot discern the difference between the $100 cold air intake system and the $300 cold air intake system. Ebay even has them for $49. how much can they vary? The filter looks the most unique part on it and i guess i could put a K$N on any of the tubes...
