    Emmissions for a V8ed CJ

Given a little time if need-be, I could locate our 1977CJ technical manual that we got from American Motors with the Jeep. It's very inclusive and a good 1" thick. Will look for it today Prariepunk LBR

    "CRD" Jeep Diesel

RE: Well, the bastids finally did it.... My ex-brother-in-law had built a 68 chevelle with a small Perkins diesel back in about 1974. I can't remember the size nor what it was out of, but he had coupled it to a GM Saginaw 4-speed transmission (wide ratio 3.08:1 1st gear) and ran the 12-bolt...

    A little radiator help.

AT Tires Amen! Has this problem always been there, did it happen all at once or has it creeped up slowly? Sounds like this isn't a stocker beings it has a different engine in it. Could be several common things besides the radiator being plugged....thermostat partially closed, lower hose...

Pay special attention to the backspacing with the 17" and larger rims. None would fit our 79 CJ project properly, so I had to spring for a set of spacers. LBR

    Oil Leak

RE: DESPERATE... help please Sounds like you had unintentionally created excessive crankcase pressure - the engine rotating mass plus heat builds up internal pressure and pushes oil out anywhere and everywhere it can seep (front of intake &/or top of timing chain cover). Venting to the...

    DESPERATE... help please

Looks like you've covered most bases already - I would jack up each corner individually, spin the tire and watch for excessive run-out on 1)the inside sidewall 2)the outside sidewall 3)the tread itself. Broken internal belts of the tire could cause your problem. You can also check the rim...
