do i need to disconnect the vac. lines when i flip it to keep it from activating when i shift into 4wd? is it really that easy???

i have the connections for the abs system but they were disconected when i bought the jeep about 2 months ago. i have read that a lot of people diconnect it anyway but why???? my yj is a daily driver and the brakes work fine, is there any reason to leave it unhooked or should i plug it back up??

try to stay away from the baja claw unless you get just an incredible deal on them. I had 33/12.50/15 on my white 90 yj and they rode like crap on the road, only were good for forward in mud. sucked in snow/ice, but were awesome on rock. hope this helps.

i am thinking about locking my 4wd actuator or putting in 1 piece shafts. how bad would this hurt my gas mileage? also, how would i go about locking it and getting rid of those crappy vaccume lines? i was thinking about the hose clamp method. any input would be helpful.

thanks for all the info guys. both sides have really good points and i guess i have some thinking to do. i have plenty of wrench and fab skills and a vast knowledge of doing 350 swaps ( one in an s-10 and one in a 88 toyota). I guess i just have to think about it and do what i feel would be best.

I think i found out what most of the stuff does and goes to but i am not sure about a few things. there are two wires that go to the housing from a harness, there are two lines on the underside and i dont know what these go to. if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

yeah but i dont really want to get the tj flairs. it seems like everyone has them and I like my jeep to stand out (its kinda my thing). thats why i have it wrapped in realtree camo vinyl. thanks for your opinion though

yeah i wheel quite a bit even though i am still so close to being stock. I have only had the jeep for about 2 weeks so i haven't had much time to turn wrenches on her yet, plus i have a cold and its about 40 degrees here in TN. thanks for your opinion though.
