    Engine mounts

I just got a 258 out of an 84 eagle car and i'm going to swap it into my '87 wrangler. The engine mounts on the pre-87 258's are the flat single stud kind and they switched to the newer kind in 87. My question is, will the engine mount arms from the 87 bolt up to the 84 block? Did AMC they keep...

    Another problem! Bad coil?

You say you had the radio on, did you have the switch on run or acessory? If you had it on run that could cause the coil to overheat. od

Do you have a Soft top or a Hartop on your Jeep?

I have both for the time being, although I am currently in the process of selling my doors and top because they are too much of a PITA to store in the warme months. Besides, when a beautiful day does decide to sneak up in late fall or early spring its nice to be able to drop the top. :) od

You say you changed the distributor? Is the timing set correctly? Uncorrect timing could make for a hard start. :) od

    stalling

I thought I'd trrow this out here and see what I get back before I jump into another repair. I have MC 2150 with a manual choke and sometimes she just wont idle at temp. I've set the idle mixture screws and for the most part she runs great, but on occasion it'll take a couple high revs and some...

    Vacuum questions

I've taken the group off of the valve cover and the pair off of the fire wall. I guess since they've been unhooked this long and haven't made a difference I don't really need them seeing as how the emissions system is..well lets say its not to factory spec  . Thanks anyway guys. Any...

    Vacuum questions

I have an '87 wrangler with the 258 and I was wondering about the vacuum switches located above the valve cover on the fire wall. There are two side by side with a wiring harness coming from them. Are they emissions related or somethin else. They are currently unhooked but I was wondering what...

    Hardtop and doors for cj7/yj

axle shims I have a hardtop that is for a cj7 but fits nicely on a '87-'95. The top is tan and has tinted windows. It is in fairly good condition and has a dome light. The hard doors are also for a late cj7 or wrangler with the rotary style latches. Both doors had a small crack at front lower...
