sweet looking install !

bone stock with only change being the motorcraft 2150. my poor 258 was so tired this motor feels like a monster 8). wont hot rod this motor, but will hunt up another 360 to build in the shop and swap out next . my wish list has a few "must haves" first !

i bought mine at the local car quest store.

had Heddman fenderwell headers on my 77 cj with 304 and it was very basic install. you need to cut some of the inner fender away but its very easy to do. then the mufflers need to have a flange welded on to bolt up to the header. it doesnt need hangers or anything so its just collector to flange...

oh yeah, i used the original ford 1/4 inch thick gasket and had no sealing probs.

you need to work the linkage a bit but it was easy to do. i just used a l bracket that was in the drawer to change the angle from rear pull to down pull and put a pivot pc on the end. everything worked the 1st time out so i say go for it and you'll never look back to the carter again.

i used grizzly grip on my sons 93 wrangler inside and out and its great. lots of colors to choose from and products to keep it shiny ( i like the dull) he went brite red with white hinges and all. the whole thing was way easier than regular car paint. check out their web site !

been using pledge for 10 years on spice tops , black tops and all are like new. keeps the fabric shiny and pliable. just my 2 cents......

Check your water pump...try running without the stat just to make sure it works ? did the heater blow hot air ? check what the oil looks like to rule out head gasket failure.timing issues can cause over heat as well....just throwing things out there , good luck !

believe it or not the best and cheapest is good old lemon pledge. spray it on thick and rub it in .It will shine and soften it up nice. works on the plastic windows too.
