Best dana 60 front axle for TJ?

2400 is kind of high isn't it? My truck runs at about 1700 rpms at 60 and 2000 at 70, though it isn't pushing around 37's. though i will be putting in an LS1 engine, and it tends to favor the higher rpms...

Best dana 60 front axle for TJ?

That would make a better crawling transmission then the 4L60 plus the 1:1 ratio in 4th is still decent. Though i'm going more for a cruiser/trail blazer moreso than a hardcore mudder or crawler I feel like a craigslist junkie. But i'll have this weekend free for once so i'll be able to see...

Best dana 60 front axle for TJ?

Yeah i'm going to be grinding all of the stock stuff off and putting my own mounts, disc brakes, along with a lift, etc. I have a HD dana 60 with 4.10's so the only thing thats holding me up is the front. Was just curious if balljoints are as bad as some people make them out to be. And...

Best dana 60 front axle for TJ?

I don't have a single clue about this stuff, that is why I'm asking. I know what vehicles the dana's come out of, I'm just wondering if it's really that big of a deal if I go with a dodge 60 with balljoints instead of scrounging around for a ford with kingpings. And using a passenger drop...

Best dana 60 front axle for TJ?

If I was to get a passenger side drop, what transfer case would you recommend? And I would be using a 4L60E as a transmission.

    This Oughta' Fit, Right?

It should fit. Novak adapters should have all of the stuff youll need to swap it in, but youll need a new transmission, driveshafts, axles etc. And emissions is a pretty important thing. If you live in a spot where it's not needed, it would be a great swap. But if it's required you wouldn't...

Best dana 60 front axle for TJ?

I'm currently looking to buy a dana 60 front axle for my TJ. I'm pretty sure the ford 77-79? dana 60 fronts would be the best way to go since they have the driver side drop with the high pinion, kingpins, etc. But I can't seem to find one and if there is one the price is stupidly high. I'll also...

    Major rear axle problem!!!

I'm going to be resplining my axles soon too, but not because they grenaded :P. There are a few 4x4 shops around where I live that can respline axles for pretty cheap or if there aren't any shops that can you can usually order one off the internet for more. As for installation goes, ...

What should I look for in a Dana 60?

I'm currently looking to buy a dana 60 to put into my 98 TJ. Theres an ad on craigslist with one that is selling for $200. What should I look for and what would be the year limit for the open knuckles? It also has 4.10 gears. There's also a dana 70 on craigslist for $100 and since I would be...

    3.9L 4bt cummins diesel swap

Yeah, i'd either be putting in a top notch dana 44 or a dana 60. I'm here in washington and I couldn't really find anything about diesel swaps for emissions. Though we do have about the same standards as california.

    3.9L 4bt cummins diesel swap

I found this rebuild: Garrett's "Marshtackie" - My Jeep Club And this website which has a lot of decent info, just haven't looked through all of it yet: http://www.4btswaps.com/forum/index.php And also, if I do swap in an older diesel into a 98 wrangler, won't that fail in an emissions...

    3.9L 4bt cummins diesel swap

Instead of originally swapping out my 2.5l 4 cyl for a v8 350, i'm getting more curious (and more excited, i LOVE diesels for some reason) about swapping in a 3.9l 4bt cummins engine in my 98 TJ. I've looked around for other people that have done this, and there's quite a few, but nothing...

    i need help!!!

I would check your closest 4x4 shop as they can probably get a whole bolt set and manual for pretty cheap. And punch your friends for me 8)

    Clicking sound when on idle

Have 168k on my 4 cyl. Looking around for a V8 though :). I have a bad lifter on my pickup and it makes the ticking noise on cold days. Does your ticking start and stop every 2-3 mins? Or does it happen in the first 2-3 mins.

    Good idea or bad idea

oh wow. Body lift. Was thinking suspension lift >_<. Any Body lifts are retarded. I saw a pickup with a 4 inch body lift it looked like. I almost puked.

Bedliner in and on the jeep

http://www.kryptonitecustomworks.com/kryptocoat.html They spray pretty much everything with a polymer based rubber like Rhino lining or Line-X and it doesn't look too bad. I wouldn't do it personally, but just depends on what you plan to do with your jeep.
