Yeah, i'd either be putting in a top notch dana 44 or a dana 60. I'm here in washington and I couldn't really find anything about diesel swaps for emissions. Though we do have about the same standards as california.

Have 168k on my 4 cyl. Looking around for a V8 though :). I have a bad lifter on my pickup and it makes the ticking noise on cold days. Does your ticking start and stop every 2-3 mins? Or does it happen in the first 2-3 mins.
