    Well, when you find you'll have to shell out $275+ for a new switch, you might want to try adjusting the one you have. There's an adjustment bolt on the switch itself.

    I don't think you need a new switch.... a slight adjustment, maybe, but that's all. Once you see the price of a new neutral safety switch, you'll be pretty well convinced that you don't need a new one.

    Usually the electrolyte boils when overcharging occurs. Do you know the voltage being put out by your alternator? Should be around 14-14.5 volts., and tapers to less than that when the battery is fully charged.
