I am in the process of restoring a CJ7 using parts from a 79 and 80'ish CJ. I was looking in Quadratec at the Hyper Flex System suspension componets and saw that the 76-79 and the 80-86 were not the same. Anyone know why? Thanks Nick

Im getting ready to start on a project, I have a 1979, and a 1981 or 82 CJ-7, I am going to be mix n matchig parts from both like frame and tub etc. is there any problems with doing this as far as what parts i can switch around or are all CJ-7s interchangeable?

If you are like me and was never impressed with the rectangle headlights on the YJ, then go to www.jeep4x4center.com, they have a grille conversion kit, the price has not been advertised yet I'll let you know when it is. there are other sites that have these kits just go to your search engine...

tell me what you think.. I am having problems shifiting into first & second gear while sitting still..ie stop sign etc.. If I have it in gear while stopped I have no problem shifting, or if I am in motion. If I start the jeep with clutch in, and in 1st gear I can move through all the gears...

The #4 spark plug on my 59 CJ keeps fouling out. We have changed the plugs several times along with the wires and dist cap/rotor. what do you think?

my 93 YJ is gutless in 5th gear specially going up an incline I know its a 4 banger but this is pitiful. I changed all the wires, plugs, dist cap and rotor have K&N air filter which seems to have improved it somewhat but 5th gear still needs someone to get out and push. any suggestions?
