    I have a 82 CJ 5, with a 6 in it,, I have 31" tires and 4.88 gears. My cluster says I am going 75, but my onboard gps says 52. So alot will depend on "your formula".

    I need to have a new starter ring put on my flywheel. The teeth are nibbled off enough to need to be replaced.. My question is,, in shopping for a new one, a new ring is like $18 a new flywheel is like $142,,, but both together allready assemled is like $200... Is it that hard to put the starter...

    I have seen and heard of people getting wider and stronger front and rear axles from donar vehicles,,, which donar vehicles have the least amount of "conversion" and work the best for a 82 cj5???? Some have said with a dana 44 you have to use TJ springs????

    Oil pressure falling

    Re: Getting to know your peers The pressure at idle is the same as traveling,, once it heads down,,, it only takes about 5 miles or so for it to head from 60 to 10 or lower. I am going to change the oil weight in it this weekend,, but sounds like by pump maybe bad?

    Just seems the pressure dropping that much, and down to that little would mean an issue somewhere in there... But I am learning as I go.. Thomas
