    Wheel joints

After removing retaining clips is there anything else special that needs to be done to remove wheel joints (universals) from front axle. Tried to beat them out with sledge hammer, but they won't budge. It's a 1994 and these are original. Suspect they are just rusted in. Any suggestions?

Need help changing front axle shaft assembly

Thanks for the info. I think the u joints are bad. The u joints are not available from Quadratec, so I didn't think I could buy just the joints. I will try just replacing them, but if not, then the detailed intructions should come in real handy and I'll get out the BIG tools. U da man!
