I went with autometer, but had trouble fitting them to the stock dash, so I took a sheet of alluminum diamond plate, sand blasted it, and made a new one. I was able to design my own cluster and put everything else where I wanted it. A lot of work, but worth the effort.

Re: RE: Question to moderators I guess I failed to mention that I have rewired with a painless harness from front to rear and all I have to go by are the wires hanging from the connector. Continuity check has not revealed the positive or ground.

YJ question. The Hanes manual does not specify wiring for the speedo sending unit. (3 wires, blk/red, wht/blk, blu.) If someone could tell me which is power, ground, and sending I would greatly appreciate it. Need the new speedo hooked up before I get a ticket. Thanks

Building my Jeep, the sky was the limit. I finally decided to go manual for all of the reasons mentioned in the other posts, plus two. If you happen to smash a hole in your transmission; with a manual you can still crawl out to a safe area. Also, you dont need a cooler.
