Well, I admit it. One downside of having a Jeep...

Isnt that why you have a roof rack?? One of those inflatable Aero Beds, home-made roof rack, viola. Works great for camping trips in Joshua Tree too. Road trips etc, all your stuff is locked inside below you, and asleep or not up top.

87 YJ - Water pump and fan

Just be carefull with the 4 bolts that are attatched to the water pump. If you did not purchase new ones, they usually do not come with a new pump and you will have to remove them, which can be tricky without damageing the threads.

Interior lights, engine light and radio not recieving power

Went through the wiring with a tester, sorry for all the questions, but outside of physics I have Zero knowledge of wiring. This is what is stumping me, I test the positive wire on the wiring harness to the radio, and it registers 12v but yet the radio nor anything else on that circuit is...

Interior lights, engine light and radio not recieving power

Well got the tester, checked all the fuses in both the power distribution center and in the fuse box inside the cab. All of them registered, so power is getting there and leaving, its just not reaching the radio, hood, or interior lights. Also replaced all the bulbs.

Interior lights, engine light and radio not recieving power

Gear Question Checked all the bulbs, and removed and expected each fuse. Will go out and pick up an automotive tester to see if I can see if the fuse box inside the car is even recieving power up to that point. The alarm is recieving power, but it looks to be wired on a different power...

    Wow it's hot

Lockrights Aye, its hot as hell here in Cali. Hit 104 over here near Redlands. Just glad I was able to find my coolant leak and install a new water pump before this hit. Weird to think that just a couple of weeks ago it was snowing in the mountains and raining at a nice 75 degrees. Swear...

Interior lights, engine light and radio not recieving power

Have checked all fuses, and did not see any that were blown. Checked the ones in the cab under the drivers side, and under the hood on passengers side. Happened while I was driving and radio just shut off. The engine light and the two side lights that go on when you open the doors are not...

Wanting to run 33's on my 93 YJ (need suspension education)

Thanks so much for all this information. I have grown up messing with engines, but know ZERO when it comes to suspsension... outside of the physics behind it, etc. This is the first Jeep forum I have ever chatted in and it has been great. Thinking it may be best to go with less of a lift and...

    Leaking soft top.

4liter 6cyl Mine had the same problem Merk L. Only during long/heavy rains and would hear is sloshing around inside the window frame. If you notice water ONLY in the front wells after a heavy rain, check under the dash for moisture. On both my 93' and my little brother's 2001 this problem...

Wanting to run 33's on my 93 YJ (need suspension education)

Atm she does have aftermarket rims on her with the 30s. So has the wider stance etc. She still has OEM shocks and springs, both of which seem shot. As far as the mileage she does 18 city and 21 hwy, but as I have had her since 95' she has undergone some engine and exhaust mods to get her hp...

Wanting to run 33's on my 93 YJ (need suspension education)

At the moment she gets about 18mpg with the 30s on her. What is the largest size tire I could run without significant changes in my mileage? At this time I cant afford to destroy my mpg. In the future she will be a father/son project, but I still have 4 more years of grad school where she...

Wanting to run 33's on my 93 YJ (need suspension education)

Have a 93 Wrangler YJ 4liter. Still has stock springs and shocks, and both are ready to be replaced, front springs run flat at the moment. Do some rock crawling with it and run trails at Joshua Tree here in Cali. Also is my primary transportation outside of my bike to work and school. She...
