1/4 elliptical spring question

Thinking of doing this...

A guy in my club bent a 3" spring dueto axle wrap, he got a new one under warranty and is giving this old one away for free. I am thinking of designing a 1/4 elliptical spring setup for the rear. what can I expect from this as in road manner, should act the same as a revolver shackle, but on road, will it cause a mess load of body roll when turning?
If I do thins, should I think about making a TJ rear sway bar work with quick disconnects?

Anybody know someone running this mod??

I do know that it greatly increases roll in the rear of the vehicle. I was going to do it at one time, but decided against it. You can design some plates that will keep the spring from moving side to side.

it is going to be a VERY soft... but VERY bouncy ride... you'll want to have a tracbar too

i saw a write up on a rear sway bar on pirate for a 1/4 eliptical, you might want to check there, this guys rig flexed something crazy and still handled on street, it was similar to the currie sway bar
