2100 2150 throttle linkage.

Any of you guys ever thought of just putting a throttle cable holder onto the manifold and turning the linkage into a back pull instead of a down pull by getting rid of the rest of the linkage and hooking the cable straight onto the stock throttle ball on the carb. Make room under the hood and you don't have to bolt on the lever cable this should work on all manual trans noit sure about auto. I am going to try this what do you guys think.

I got a factory throttle cable for an early 80's CJ7 with a V8 and it snapped right into place on my 2150 and works fine. I didn't want to try rigging something up so I thought I'd try it and it worked fine. Derm over on JU was the first person to mention it, and so far I haven't seen anyone that it hasn't worked for.......
