not trying to be rude but the cherokee section will probably be more helpful. of all the many cherokees i have had, not one had loose steering so i have nothing of aid
Check all your tierod ends first. Also check your steering shaft between the box and firewall, have someone turn the wheel while you watch how much movement there is before the tires start to turn.
