?? about the 8.8 swap

not bad, but a bit expensive! If you are able to do most of the farication yourself, it could be done for about $500

I'm pulling the YJ off of death row!

The spring perch, brake and yoke kits are more expensive than the junk yard rear's. Can't fab myself. These aren't refurbished, brand new. You figure for a little more than the super 35 kit + rear disc coversion .....you get the real deal.

i'd say its a great swap... i have a friend running 10's in his mustang with a ford 8.8... if it can handle that sort of launch... it can handle anything we can toss at it

120% stronger and only 20 lbs heavier than a D35. That upgrade takes you to disc brakes, 4:10 gears and a LS differential. Not a bad deal on a new axle that's ready to bolt-in.

I am no fan of ABS, rear-only may be good, but I don't like the lack of control with ABS up front

8.8 is a great axle. My friend is running one on his YJ and he has 35s and a detroit locker. IT is a tough axle I know cause he puts his jeep through its paces.

I'm not really the biggest fan of the Ford 8.8, but that isn't a bad price at all if you want to run a LS and 4.10 gears. It could be done cheaper, but not THAT much cheaper and you'd have a good amount of labor involved in doing it yourself. These are fresh, zero mile assemblies too.

That 120% figure is crap though.
