Busted off a Tooth or two from my Flywheel!

i'm with gadget.... depending on how everything else is.. and how much money you have... different ways will benefit you differently... if you intend on JUST replacing the flywheel/clutch/starter... the transmission/tcase is the way to go.... the motor has all that crap hooked up to it, and must be hoisted out... the transmission/case just has a few things hooked to it, and can be dropped, lot easier than hoisting, gravity is on your side... and when it has to go back, is under 2 feet from the ground to lift....

Thanks for all the input. The flywheel does have some teeth damaged but not broken off. Just the front edge has some chipping away at the edge. I tryed my luck and replaced the starter and it does start fine at least for now. So I will save the big job for a bit later date. Thanks again. tug
