RE: Warn winch mount tj

Does anyone know where to go to find out cj specs for 1978. Looking for general info on what was available. I just got the steal of the century on a 78 cj5 30,000 miles on it, glass body just have to finish all the loose ends.

There are a ton of places. A Google search should turn up what you need, and I'll try to post some links later. Some appearance or comfort options are going to be hard to identify and information varies. The factory 78 drivetrain options were pretty straightforward though.

Engine: Two choices-- either the 258 I6 or the 304 V8

Transmission: Three choices-- T-150 3 speed
T-18 4 speed
TH400 automatic

Tcase: two options-- manual transmissions= Dana 20 part-time
automatic transmission= Quadratrac full-time

Axles: Rear-- AMC M20---- differential will be offset for the Quadratrac models/ centered for the D20 Tcase
Front-- Dana 30----passenger side drop/standard rotation

Have an original 1977 technical manual for CJ-5 etc. - If 77 will do, what particular info do you need? LBR
