dana 60

RE: Jeep Bling Bling

Whats the D60 out of?

Anything can fit Anywhere....with a little effort!

o itll fit, its gonna be monstrously wide no matter what you get it out of. the cj5's were narrow track axles, i think 51ish inches? (someone correct that) and most dana 60s are at least 62-67 inches wide. you can get it narrowed custom but youd be better to look for a narrow track d44 from a cj7 or cj5, they came in em its just a matter of locating it. make sure you get new gears if you dont get an axle with matching ones

RE: denver mechanics

if you have the dana 20 t/c you could get a d44 out of a postal jeep they have the center dif, plus you wouldn't have any ground clearence with the d60 unless your running 38s or bigger.

What did you break in the AMC20 rear that is under your Jeep? If you spun a shaft, don't worry it's common. The factory design is weak but there are several companies making much stronger one piece shafts that slide right in. Moser makes a really good axle kit that isn't too expensive. Don't make it harder than it has to be. Swapping axles is an expensive in-depth process, fixing what you have is fairly cheap and takes an afternoon to do.

Aloha to all,Thanks for all the help that i recieved from this forum.Nice to know that there is help out there.I will replace my two piece axels with the moser one piece axels.I think it will save me some money and time,so i can get my jeep going again.I must say that i did learn alot and maybe one day help someone else myself.
