Hi-Ya, berettajeep,

I think that you will find that the Jeep 4.2 (258), I-6 emissions system changed over the course of the 1979 through 1983 model years. The 1983 model year was the first with a computer and all the stuff that went with the computer.

Therefore, one diagram won’t necessarily cover the span of model years which you requested.
