I put in reverse and it did not do anything either. It was like I was stuck in neutral. I put my jeep back in park and restarted the engine and put it back in drive and it was fine. I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Tj with an automatic transmission. My jeep has 69,000 miles on it. What could be the problem?

Edit: I just read your first post...
You have a 04 tj, it's got a throttle cable...

A thorough cleaning and inspection of all electrical connection will insure that this is or isn't the case. After that its internal....
