How about trying a wheel alignment. Usually this is a fix to the whole high speed vibration. I really don't think its your drivetrain or u-joints. Usually the vehicle will shake constantly with these sorts of problems. My jeep used to shake at high speeds (60 - 70 mph). Any other speed was fine. I got an alignment and it fixed that problem fast.
There's my two cents.

All the best,
Chris

Any recent changes? Could be tires off balanced, usually 55 mph is a key speed for unbalanced tires. Possibly threw a weight... thats my nickel!!!

Only thing that has been done was about 3 months ago i had a new track bar installed in the front and they did an alignment then.I will have the tires rebalanced,it has been a long time and with off roading who knows if I lost a weight.

I'd go with a lost wheel weight too - especially if it started out of nowhere.

You could put the front tires on the back and see if the shaking changes feel.
