Well I discovered that the PVC line-hose was completely
clogged a little farther down the line than what i had
replaced last sat. So, i now think the jeep has good flow,
at least on the pvc hosing. And there appears to be less
oil leaking. . . .

I have ordered a new cap b/c that appears to be part
of the leak problem.

Having replaced and hooked up the intake grommet i now
am down to two hoses without a home. . . .

(1) one is avacuum line (not hose, hard plastic, narrow diameter)
that runs parallel to the PVC valve hose that i just replaced
but goes to nowhere, and

(2) is a hose that comes directly off the carb (side facing valve cover)
the hose appears to have broken-- it is only like 5 inches and I
cannot see anyplace that appears to be missing a hose. . . .

anyway, thanks for all help to date, this jeep appears to be on the
road to recovery
