Lift question

As some of you may recall, I have a RE 2" budget lift installed on my '06 TJ. I'm looking at the RE 3.5" Super Flex or Basic lift for next summer (leaning towards the super flex). My question is, can I keep the 2" spring spacers with the 3.5" coil spring lift (for a 5.5" lift) or is that a bad idea?? Also, at what point will I need to look at longer shocks? I'm running the shocks that came with the RE budget lift, for what that's worth.

You will need longer shocks for the 3.5" kit, and I would avoid running the coil spacers with the longer springs. 5.5", while doable, is way too much combined spring height for a short arm suspension. There is a point where the control arms get too vertical and onroad and offroad handling is much worse.

100% with him.. aftermarket LCA can solve this to a point, but longer arms are really what will cure this.

I like it real well. Great bang for the buck. I did experience some drivetrain vibrations in my '06 and ended up installing a Skyjacker TC drop, but other than that it's great. The shocks perform well on road - feels like stock - and perform well offroad too, from my experience. Worth the money if you're just looking for a quick lift.
