Well, I am parting out my 77 blazer, and I currently have a 92 2wd chevy as my Daily driver. I was contemplating putting the rear and front end out of the blazer into the 92 chevy P/U. here is the situation. the blazer's sm 465 is slated for the 94 YJ, and the NP 205 would be used in the pickup, but... how to I get it onto the back of the auto transmission? I was thinking of using a divorced style transmission-Tcase but that is going to add quite a bit of length to the drive train, and the 4WD shifter would be in the back of the Pickup Cab. I know I could mock up some type of radicle shifter arm...
another option would be to change transmission's but I am not wanting to spend the $$ on a new transmission, when the one I have is mint.
Last Idea, is it possible to pull the tail shaft off and mate the two together that way, find the appropriate main shaft? or are 2wd and 4wd transmissions really different?
