Power Steering Switch Wiring

Have 90 Wrangler. Connector to power steering pressure switch got mangled (don't ask). Switch OK. Cut off connector - can't find new one. Put slip-on connector on each wire. Slip-on connectors will fit nicely on two "prongs" on pump switch. One wire is orange (14OR), other is light blue (16LB) - note gauge difference (14 vs 16). Question: does it matter which wire is attached to which prong on the switch?

Theoretically no. As long as the switch has no diodes in it. I would put it how it goes. Look at a connector view in service info for a better look at it.

Don't know how it goes at this point. Without original connector can't tell which wire went to which prong. Can't find any picture of switch and connector that suggest how the connector mated to the switch showing wires. Sides of switch seem generic (i.e., no obvious connector orientation designed in).

I can see if I can find a connector view at work. You can also try either way. See if the jeeps idle changes when at full stop. It should stay close to same.
