Problems again

Man I am really starting to dislike this 2004 Grand Cherokee.
Trying to get ready for a trip to memphis and noticed while filling up there is a knocking or popping sound comming from somewhere around the fuel tank by the filler tube.
There are some emission equipment mounted in the fender below the filler tube.
Has anyone had or ever heard of one doing this?
Had the fuel pump replaced about 3000 miles ago and everything was fine until I heard this.

That knocking or popping while filling up could be the rollover valve on the neck of the fuel tank. It will pop up and down as fluid enters the fuel tank.

Figured it out. It's been work on Jeeps week around here.
It turned out to be a broken line on the vapor pump causing the pump to...I guess keep working ?? anyway when I put it back on it stopped making the popping sound. Then I took it back off and fixed it right.
In fact I found two cracked lines around that pump.

It's got to be the purge solenoid valve that's making that ticking sound im glad you found the source. Did it throw a DTC for a large evap leak or a purge solenoid performance?.
