Question re: Tops

Ok, so I was watching the video they gave me when I picked up my new Wrangler yesterday about how to change the tops. They mentioned that with the dual tops option you have to remove the soft top (which is originally folded back but otherwise installed on the Jeep with the hard top over top of it) or else it will void the warranty on the soft top. So, I went out to try and see if I could remove it (as I want to keep the hard top on for now). Is there any way you can remove the soft top without removing the hard top?? I don't see any way to get at the bolts that attach the supports for the soft top to the sport bar without taking the hard top off first.

Also, I got one of the bolts out (the lower soft top support is further inside the car than the top support, so I had enough room to get a socket in there), but in the process I dropped the bolt and I can't seem to locate it - any chance I could buy a replacement bolt at the dealership??

Sorry for all the 'noob' questions, but I'm still getting used to this Jeep thing ;)

I can't imagine getting to the 4 little torx bolts that hold the hardware on without removing the hard top. Have you considered ditching the hard top??? That would be my choice, but that's just me. The longer you stay on this site, the more you'll see what that means!!

I just don't like hard tops.

I found the missing screw, and I'm going to attempt to remove the hard top shortly...if you guys are lucky, I'll post a picture of my nekkid Jeep ;).
