So,
Im pulling my engine tomorrow to replace my rear main seal and possibly the timing chain. Any other seals that I should know about to change? Would I need to replace my oil pan gasket? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!8)

Yes, replace the oil pan gasket. not sure what engine your working on but, I have changed the rear main on a 258 from a cj and I didnt need to pull the engine. I did have to undo one of the motor mounts and raise the motor on that side to get the oil pan off, once the pans off it wasnt very hard. good luck!

I agree with the post above, I'd do the pan gasket. I pulled mine because I wanted to clean the pan out. Glad I did, it was nasty in there plus found some junk stuck to the pick up screen.

Didn't get a chance to do it today. Instead I replaced my sparks, serpentine belt, thermostat, thermo housing and gasket. Talk about a job well done lol. Next time I have off I will tackle the rear main seal. Turns out my timing chain wasn't to blame for my misfires.
