Rough Idle CJ3B

Hi, just put on new solex carb, points, condenser,rotor,cap,wires,coil,plugs and have a bad rough idle. Smells like unused gas when running idle doesn't die just rough seems to get better when higher RPM's. Any ideas? Thanks, John

I assume you are smelling rich exhaust? check reading on vaccum gauge. If it's steady , adjust the carb mix to get highest reading.

Also check for a vaccuum leak, specially round the intake.
