Some seats on ebay...

Thought about purchasing a set of "Hunsaker" seats for my YJ. They are pretty cheap and look nice. Question is, how hard would these be to adapt to my jeep? Says they come with sliders, but I am sure they are just universal. Are we just talking some drilling or is it a little more serious, like welding?

Re: San Andreas

How much is cheap? Sometimes Quadratech, 4WD Hardware, and others have sales on the ones that'll bolt right in. Might be worth a few bucks when you factor in the frustration factor.

I'm deliberating between new seats or Bestop covers for my YJ. The existing seats don't recline, so I'm leaning toward the new seats.

i've been looking to swap out my (non-reclining) stock seats also - dont mean to hijack the post but any experience out there? (i.e. other car/truck seats w/the same or close bolt paterns?)

78-94 Mustang seats.... there is a write up on it on a jeep site, I forget which one.

I heard someone used Eclipse seats.
and Cavalier seats

I've always used Honda seats for the most part. Lightweight, low profile, and the leather ones from Preludes are sweet......plus I know a guy that owns a Honda specialty service center and he gives me good deals on seats out of his parts cars. They are far from bolt in though. The mustang seats are pretty common, and easy to do, as beretta pointed out. I'm going to try some C4 Corvette seats in the CJ when I find another set for a good price. There are all kinds of seats in the junkyard, and the possibilities are endless if you can make some adapter plates. Just a flat plate on both sides of the seat with both bolt hole patterns is enough if the span isn't too large. I used a modified rear bench seat out of a Chevy Astro van in the front of an 81 CJ7 one time.

Yes the mustang seats will be a almost direct bolt on to the Jeep frame!
