Does any one know what size speakers are in the dash of a 97 tj?

Also do you know of any good speakers at a reasonable cost mine are shot and you can barely hear them any more.

iam pretty sure there 4x6s. quadratec.com has some kenwood units for like 100bucks

there 4 x 6 but you can get this bracket for like 10 dollars and enables you to put 5 1/2 and thats the best way to go and it sounds way better than the 4 x 6

yeah they are four by six.. I have a set of Sony X-plodes and they are really good.. i bout them for like 45 bucks on amazon.com.. they usually have good deals, so i would try there..

4x6 is in the dash... get the adapter plates and throw some 5 1/4's in there... its a HUGE diff in sound....

Can you still use the factory speaker covers with those adapter plates.

You can get the adapters here. I got mine from them and was very happy with them.
