A while back I posted about some problems with my TJ after installing a Skyjacker 4" lift (Single Flex). The ride was rather "floaty", with the body almost rocking back and forth a bit, especially around corners. The other problem was the steering. The front axle seemed to almost shift slightly from side to side. Both problems were irritating, but neither made the vehicle unsafe or impossible to drive.
So, to fix the problems, I first replaced the shocks. What a HUGE difference that made. I went from Skyjacker to Rancho RS9000. That all but eliminated the rocking back and forth.
Then, following the advice of several people here, I replaced the front track bar with an adjustable one from Rubicon Express. I also replaced the Skyjacker sway-bar disconnects with Rubicon Express disconnects. The new track bar seems to have completely eliminated the axle "shifting" problem. I'm now quite happy with the ride.
Many thanks to everyone here who offered advice! I thought I'd share my experiences in case someone else is having similiar problems.
Take care,
Rob
