Steering correction for a spring over lift

Over the past 6 months I've been saving my $$$ and buying parts to do a spring over. Origionally I was going to do a high steer conversion, then after a little research I decided to go with a bent drag link to save some cash. I called one of our local off road shops and they're telling me that all you need is a long pitman arm. They say that Rubicon Express has a cost effective spring over kit and all they use is a long pitman arm. I've never heard of this. Wouldn't the drag link hit the leaf spring on the passenger side during articulation? They tried to talk me out of a curved drag link due to bump steer but I think more because they don't carry them. I'm still probably going to go with a curved drag link but I'm wondering if anyone has any info on just using a longer pitman arm. I kinda think they're full of it.

All I used is a ZJ pitman arm. I am clearing fine. Though I might fab up a bent arm, I believe I may hit the spring with the driver side drooped and a full right turn

RE: CB ????

zj arm is the way to go. if you have to get a bent one from rubicon express. please dont make your own pitman arm, i buddy of mine did that for his massive spring over and it didnt work out well.... he made it from tubing and gussetted it with plate and the tubing snapped

RE: steering pump question

I already have a dropped pitman arm designed for a 4" lift. I just figured that by using the stock drag link, it would hit the passenger side leaf spring during full articulation. That is the purpose of the curved drag link or a high steer conversion.

You may have to use a slight kink. It does'nt even have to be a Zbent link, just one angle works

just a dropped pitman arm here too, no problems. I think the Z drag link is if your stock one is hitting the spring pack, putting that on will clear it.
