HELP! Information needed!!

This message is for information on the condition of the road to Loon Lake.
I am trying to put together a trip this year to the Rubicon and would like to stay at Loon Lake as our staging area but, I need to know how ICE HOUSE ROAD is off of highway 50?

I have a motor home that Is 30 foot what is the road like?
Many steep hills?
Paved?
Have you taken your motor home in on this road?
Any information you may have would be greatly appreciated!

Oh this time of year is going to be end on July so the snow is not a factor!!

Thanks,

This is one for Sully.

Its paved to about 4 miles short of Loon Lake Dam spill way...but last year the road was rough..pot holes and cracks.
Your Motor home should have no problem negotiating this road.
But if you want to find a camp spot I recommend Gerle Creek Campground and the Airport Flat Campground. There both paved , at the Y intersection go straight, a right turn will direct you to Wentworth Springs and "cramp" ground and will put you on the road to Loon lake.

Agree with utah. Being that big airport flat would be a good bet. The road was pretty good last year in june but it is slow going for a rig that size...when you going.......I'll got a small group going 3rd week in july.

Thanks for the information we are trying to get together on the last week on July 30 to Aug 5th something like that.

why do you say "cramp"?????

are the site on top of one another?
