Its got a 2 knober in there now which doesnt work...what do you guys do? cut the dash? I have a marine radio I could use if I cut the dash...

Technically, you could mount your radio in your glovebox and it would be less attractive for thieves as well... The downside? You will need to get one with a remote to be able to control it while driving, you will need to drive with the glovebox open, and changing CD's will be a pain, but other than that, it's about the safes place to mount a radio on a Jeep...

Mount it in the glove box and use a remote i pod carriage within reach of the driver turn radio on and leave on and control the tunes with I pod.

Not familiar with the CJ but would something like this work?

It's actually a retro-stereo built with modern technology like...
* Am/Fm Tuner w/ 30 Presets
* Built-in amplifier (22 watts RMS/60 peak x 4 channels)
* Plays Mp3, WMA, files via rear mounted USB port (.5 meter cable)
* InfiniMount shaft/bracket system for maximum installation flexibility!
* Adjustable-angle, easy to read LCD display
* Compatible with optional vehicle specific faceplate and metal knobs to match your classic car
* IR Remote control
* Electronic Clock Function

You even get to choose the faceplate and what kind of knobs you want.
