What's the worst car you've ever owned? For me I'd have to say that it was a primer black 1970's Nissan 210 (I had this is the late 90's). Only one of the 4 speakers worked, the interior was totaled (the previous owner must have had a dog or something). I think I payed under $300 for it. Man, was that a piece.

I've actually got three so I'll let you take your pick. Piec #1: My first "official" car was a 1987 Chevy Chevette (The 'Vette). I actually got 120,000 miles out of it before it lost all compression and wouldn't go over 35 mph. I wrecked it three times, but the dealership still gave me $600. in trade. Piecie #2-A 1995 Kia Sephia. Kia has got to be the worst motor company in existence. Oh sure, you can get a car real cheap, but then stuff goes wrong and breaks off and that's where they make up the money. You can't buy parts from a Napa or Autozone. Dealership only. Brake pads cost me $70. each! We unloaded that thing after two years and I've never heard anyone say they liked a Kia when they owned one! Piece #3: It's a 1997 Chevy Blazer. Thank God I bought the extended warranty. To date, I've replaced the transmision (after only having it two months), alternator, battery (2x within 6 months) A/C and had the hood repainted cause the clearcoat eroded away. Fortunately, it only cost me about $400. for all those repairs and it runs and looks great now. It should-it's practically got new "guts" inside.

My best vehicles: My '97 TJ of course. And my wife had a 95 Oldsmobile Achieve SE that got the best gas mileage I've ever seen in a vehicle. It was a great car and nearly paid off until I saw my Wrangler sittin' on the dealer's lot. After some hard beggin' and pleading, I got my Jeep. Shoulda traded in the Blazer instead!

The worst car I ever owned was a 75 Ford Granada. It was green with green interior and a green vinyl top. The top was in such bad shape, that it looked like grass growing on top of the car. The only good thing was the 302 that was in it went very well into my friends 82 Bronco. The rest went to the crusher.[addsig]

For me thats an easy one. When my wife and got married, I had a 65 Chevy malibu SS.

It was an excellent car but due to the arrival of my son a year later I had to sell it.

We bought a 88 Hyundia excel. At the time the car was perfect and cheap for us.

But it really sucked. It had no excelleration (especially when the AC was on) and it was made in the far far east.

I have a good one, a 1986 Hyundai Excel. The thing burned so much oil my girlfriend named it "Smokey". The interior looked like someone had taken a chainsaw to it. I think I would call the color "rust". Don't think for a minute the because it wasn't a Jeep that I didn't drive it like one. My buddies and I took that thing to the mountains, over rocks (not very big ones for obvious reasons), through mud puddles and more. It took a lickin but kept on tickin. I ended up trading it in for a Camaro but it ran like a champ until the day I got rid of it.[addsig]

The wife had a car that looked kinda like a frog from the front, it was a rather large four door Citroen. Had to take the fender off to change the tire, had to cut a hole in the floor pan to adjust the parking brake, had to dismantle the whole car from the bumper back to replace the water pump. The French have there own way of doing things, which are deffinetley not mechanic friendly.

It had a whole rack of hydrolic lines running a half inch over the distributor cap. It took two universal joints to replace most of the plugs.

I debated buying a manual for it, instead I bought one on home made explosives. Thank god she wrecked it. Has had a Jeep ever since.

I'd have to say my worst car has had to be my foam-green '89 Suzuki Sidekick. The thing was soooo sluggish. One night the clutch went on it and we just decided it wasn't worth it and i happily handed it over to the junk yard. Then I had a '90 Mazda 626 which was actually pretty quick for a family sedan........but nothing compares to my 4.0 manual gold '94 YJ. -Mike[addsig]

Worst car had to be the 1985 1/2 Ford Escort. Found On Road Dead was a regular occurance. Hated the car. Went from that to a '89 Honda Civic...great little car. Wound up with 2 Honda Accords at once. Gave 1 to my 18 year old daughter for graduation; wife still drives the '91 with over 250,000 miles. I wound up with my '81

CJ-7 and have been in love ever since. Only took me about 20 years to complete the high school dream of owning a Jeep. Escort's are EVIL

, very EVIL

. They require an exhorcist on a regular basis. Stick with the Jeep. (Working on getting a '77 CJ-5 right now).

My very first car I bought myself with money I had saved from bailing hay all summer. It was a 1976 Chrysler Newport, It was as big as a battle ship. It even had the sporty baby poop green seats. I put it in a blueberry patch ditch down an old dirt road and ripped a hole in the oil pan. Never ran again.[addsig]
