Xmission fluid

I just noticed my CJ is leaking transmission Fluid from the gasket on the forward side. It's a 1980 CJ 7 Straight 6er 4 speed manual. I just got done fixing the rear seal and mounts on the transfer case thanks to super J. How Much work am I looking at to replace the gasket??? Any takes?

i can't help on this one. none of mine were standards except a 4 cylinder comanche and a 4 cylinder cherokee

Um, what gasket?? There is no pan on a manual trans so im confused about "leaking from the gasket on the front side". If you mean where the trany and egine mate, that is probably your engines rear main seal leaking.

If you have a t18 there is a cover plate on the drivers side of the Trans for a auxiliary drive.. Is that where your leak is?
