Hi everybody

In the most of times I have to ignite my '81 automatic CJ-7 with throttle half pushed or full pushed, because is easier to start the engine in that way. Even it's the ignition procedure of the user's manual.

Someone told me that starting the engine with throttle pushed could affect eventually the crankcase. Is it true? What's the right procedure to start it?

Thanks in advance.[addsig]

when you first start it,oil is not on certain metal objects inside the motor

so if you first start it and shoot the RPM's up to 3000,thats not really good.

IMO to start it,pump the gas pedal a couple of times, release gas pedal, turn key to start.[addsig]
