Maximum Lift with Shackles?????

Hey guys...
I have an 88 Wrangler. I want to do a small lift on her. From your experience, what is the maximum shackle length I can install before screwing up the pinion angle, and or cause other problems?

Usually 1 inch shackle.maybe 2 inch.Much more can become dangerous.

Keep in mind that the amount of lift achieved is only half the change in shackle length, since you're only lifting one end of the spring. I wouldn't go over 2" in increased shackle length.

There are better affordable methods of clearing larger tires. Consider TJ flares, a 1" body lift ($25), or full-length add-a-leaves made from a spare set of front spring packs.
