Trouble shifting after 4" lift...

I was wondering if any of you had this problem also. I got a 4" suspension lift, (no body lift at all), and imediatly started having trouble shifting into 2nd, 4th, and Reverse. It's a manual, and all those gears are "down" or towards the driver. I'm thinking the transfer case drop may have put a bind on things so that the actual shift lever is hitting my tub. I'll pull the boot off today and give it a look, but I hope it's not something more serious. Any Ideas?

A contact between the shifter and body is the only thing that makes sense to me. You can litterally lift your jeep up 20' (exageration), and still should not affect the shift mechanism inside the transmission. I'm willing to bet the shift lever is hitting the opening on your tub. Trim it and re-attach your shift boot and cover.

It's the transfer case drop that caused it. You can notch the body and the plate around the bottom of the boot to fix it.
