1995 4-cylinder base model YJ, manual transmission, mostly stock with one exception. It is a Texas jeep and the first owner had an aftermarketAC installed.
It has had a corrosion issue on the positive battery postfor more than a year.
I have been ableto just clean and tighten it up from time-to-time until yesterday.
My real problem seems to have revealed itself. I drove it from a cold start (texas cold start) 5 milesstopped at a gas station and then it would not start.
Key off multi-meter at battery = 11.75
Key on multi-meter at battery = 9
Key off stock dash mounted meter = 9 to 10
Key on stock dash mounted meter = well into the red
Push to start the engine will run
Voltmeter = 15 to 16 (and very erratic)
I suspect something on the ignition/run circuit hasshorted.
I started with the junction box. I checked the relays for operationwith no success, yet.
I am not too much of a rookie. I can handle quite a bit of tech.
Anyone here have a link to a really “nice” schematic?
