ba10 to ax15 or nv3550?

i have a ba10 an cant decide wether to upgrade to a ax15 or nv3550? i no dat i have to get a bellhousing conversion kit for da nv3550 an its kinda expesive wat about the ax15 do i still need a conversion kit for dat one? an which transmission do yall recommend would be best an cheaper:???:

You still need the housing on either swap. I put the nv3550 in my 88. Pick up a used transmission most places have the bellhousing attached already.

I just swapped out my AX15 for the 3550 this past weekend. I obviously haven't had it long enough to personally endorse it over the 15. My main deciding factor for the 3550 was price... I found a good bargin on it and I am cheap as he\\. I have zero complaints with the 15.

I hope I am not committing a Jeepz sin here but below is a link on an outstanding write up for a BA/NV3550 swap. Breaks down the installation issues, adaptors you will need, spline count differences etc. Perhaps this will help you reach a decision on what way you want to go.
