He guys, when I changed my clutch, i went ahead and replaced my t case rear output seal. It leaks, was i supposed to put some kind of sealant around the edge? Oh, and when i take this one out, do I need to replace it too or can I reuse it?

I did everything to my old YJ's rear out put seal and never did get it to stop leaking. Just the nature of the beast maybe. Good Luck in any event. tug

Complete Axle Swap

Had myself stuck 5 minutes in a mudpool about a year ago, right up to the tailshaft. It hasn't been leaking since. ha ha. 8)

Try sliding a new seal on the drive shaft yoke. If it fits snug it shouldn't leak.
The yoke on the drive shaft may be worn.

You can get a bad seal from the parts-store occasionally, take your shaft/yoke with you and make sure the seal fits properly. Put some RTV on the outside of the seal where it goes into the transfer case, after cleaning the mounting surface.
