NEW and improved starting problem

My '91 4.0L is having problems starting again. I got up this morning (it had rained last night- if humidity might have something to do with it) and tried to start it. It would turn over fine so the starter is working. But it never seemed to catch and start up??? I left it for 4 hours or so and came back and it started ritght up with no problems? Does it just hate me being on time for anyting or is this a mechanical problem? Thanks. Jered
